Day 4 of RavenFox13 #ScribeIGTakeover "The secret is to follow the advice the masters give you in their works while doing something different from them." - Edgar Degas What are your favorite color combinations? How often do you use them? In this organic doodling on the inside cover spread of my MD Notebook, I used one of my most favorite colors together (Sanguine and May Green). The color of Sanguine is from the tint of Sanguine, a red chalk used for sketching, and May Green will remind you of that gentle and rich yellow green seen in foliage. I have several notebooks, art journals, and sketch pads at home, but one of the amazing paper that you can try would be the ones from Midori Notebooks (similar paper in some of the inserts of Travelers Notebook). It can handle a good beating from a variety of inks and watercolors. I used Pitt Artist pens for this spread, made with India ink (permanent and waterproof). I also added a few shading with a Sanguine Polychromos pencil on the female portrait. If you are thinking of a nice gift to give a friend that loves to sketch or write, these are simple ensembles that you can get and gift-wrapped at Scribe. See you all again tomorrow! #RavenFox13 #Repost @scribe.ph #iWriteWithScribe #PittArtistPens #MidoriPaper #MdPaperProducts #FaberCastell (at Malabon City) https://www.instagram.com/p/BrDQT1RgrqL/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=x381qrz0vdfk
