While you were talking to press of your own, Iwan was just a couple of feet away from you. He couldn’t really focus on what the questions were because you were so utterly distracting in the dressy clothes that you were wearing for the festival. You looked absolutely beautiful and his eyes kept darting in your direction. At last, you caught him, making eye contact, and he grinned.

“Hey y/n...” Iwan said, taking a step back from the cameras and the microphones. “Do you maybe wanna go to the afterparty after?”

“Yeah, sounds fun.” You agreed with a smile. You went back to talking with the interviewers and Iwan turned back to his own with a big grin on his face.

You left Iwan for just a moment to go to the bar and get your second drink of the night. He had started a conversation with a friend of his and hanging on the side of a conversation didn’t seem like a fun time. You smiled at the bartender and ordered your favorite drink, then took a step back to wait for it. You looked over at Iwan and smiled at how happy he was, and how enthused he got seeing his friend.

“You smell good.” A man said, behind you. You could feel his chest against your back and it made you grimace. You tried to step to the side, so you wouldn’t be pinned between him and the bar, but he had his arms out to stop you.

“Seriously, my husband is just over there. This isn’t your best idea.” You said. You could feel his breath now, against your ear. It smelled strong of whiskey. Your back went rigid when he didn’t give you a verbal answer, but instead, licked your neck then his lips loudly.

You looked over at Iwan to try to get his attention but you already had it. The look on his face was enough to murder a person, and he excused himself from the conversation without a word and walked over. Even if he hadn’t had seen the look of panic on your face, he wasn’t going to let some guy keep you from walking away.

“Back off,” He said, aggressively pushing the man away from you. Immediately, you went behind him, and grabbed his arm.

“Let’s just go, he’s drunk.” You pleaded.

“How else is he going to learn?” Iwan asked, his voice filled with rage.

Running errands wasn’t something that you considered to be an enjoyable activity. By the time you got to your front door, you had three bags of groceries in your hands, a parcel you picked up from the post office tucked under your arm, your keys between your teeth (which you had no idea how you were going to get back into your hands) and your phone was ringing in your back pocket. All in all - you were feeling a bit frazzled.

You set down the groceries os you could retrieve your keys from your mouth, but the door opened before you could put it into the lock. Iwan stood just inside with a vase of flowers in his hands. It was still a more recent relationship and you had given him a key so that he could lock up if he had to head out while you were at work, but you weren’t expecting him to be in today.

“I got these for you.” He said, showing you the flowers that were in the vase. He was smiling a nervous little smile, reminiscent of his character Simon. “Oh - I’ll get that.” He set the flowers down on the table you usually reserved for keys, and took the parcel from under your arm and then the groceries. “Do you like them?”

Now that you had a moment to breathe, you looked at the flowers, leaned down and inhaled the scent. They were real - it was a little surprising because of how pristine they looked.

“I love them.” You said, picking up the vase to put in the kitchen so you could enjoy their beauty while putting away the groceries, together.

Iwan was the only one to see your embarrassing fall. There was a hotel pool party to wrap up the shooting of the last season of Game of Thrones, and only the two of you were left. A few drinks had been involved, more than a few but you were attempting to downplay it to seem less like a lush. You were walking by the pool to get to the table with your drink when you slipped and fell into the water.

You were underwater with your eyes open. You found yourself in the deepest end, trying to reach the bottom so that you could kick up but your feet just could not reach. You felt a hand grasp at your arm and pull you up onto an inflatable chair that was resting on top of the water. Iwan was still resting on it, so quietly you had not noticed that he was still there, and he pulled you up onto his lap, arms outstretched to balance.

“You’re safe now.” He said, and patted you on the back to cough up any of the water that you may have swallowed. You managed to catch your breath after a couple of coughs and relaxed onto his chest.

“Hero saves victim from the water. I think we’re supposed to kiss or something. That’s how the story goes.” You said, trying to hide your humiliation behind the humor. Iwan laughed and leaned back against the air-filled plastic to relax.

“None of this is your fault. I think Maisie and Sophie were having a watergun battle and made it all slippery.” He said, his welsh accent coming through. “But you’re right - that’s how the stories do go.”

Your heart started to beat as he put a finger under your chin to make your blushing face look upwards into his and then he kissed you. You felt his breath against your wet skin after it was finished. He didn’t pull away right away.

Iwan had decided to go out and gather the firewood while you unpacked the bags. He had some grand plans for this weekend and he couldn’t wait to get started. Unfortunately, you had arrived rather late so a hike was out of the question but the night brought about the perfect timing for a fire.

Making sure that you were still inside, he did the dangerous bit of lighting a bit of newspaper on fire and tossing it in with the rest of the paper and the wood. It caught and the quiet of the crickets was joined by the crackling sound of a bonfire.

You came out and Iwan smiled proudly at what he had achieved. You joined him sitting by the fire, soaking in the warmth that came from it against the chill that the night was developing, even in these Summer months.

You were talking along, answering questions as you were supposed to be doing. You were having a good time for it being your first ever interview. Iwan was with you, which was a huge help. The two of you had become good friends during the filming of your project together. He had really helped you escape your shell.

You were talking about your co-stars and the trouble that they caused on site, when your own vision seemed to leave you for a second. With blurry sight, and squinting eyes, you looked over at Iwan to see that he had your glasses on his face. You could see the dark rims, but you could not see the color of his eyes, which was a shame.

“Come on, give them back,” You laughed, looking in the direction of the interviewer and rolling your eyes. “This is what I mean, so much trouble.”
