I wait for the Lord. I wait for the Lord , my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope. Psalms 130:5 NIV All the glory, praises and honor be to the Holy Father in Jesus' precious name ! The Psalmist speaks out his heart in this subject verse. It is very clear from the words that he greatly longs for the Almighty God. Moreover, he is willing to wait on the Lord no matter what the circumstances around him might be. His focus is upon the Living God who is greater than any problem or hurdle. Therefore, he is willing to wait with all his heart and soul. As the Psalmist says in the following below verse, "be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord." Wait for the Lord ; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord . Psalms 27:14 NIV The another important aspect of the verse is putting our hope on the Almighty God. Indeed, our trust and faith in God's word also shows our hope in Him. Therefore, it is clear in the heart of the Psalmist that He trusts the word of God or His promises. In fact, if we give heed to the word of God, there shall be no more fears of any sort. For the word of God is a soothing balm and alleviates fear from us. Furthermore, as the following verse says, "our faith in God is the confidence in what we hope for." Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. This is Oregon now. . I can't sleep. Tacoma is burning and I wait. . It's only a matter of time before the cold rain forest births blood red skies. . I'm eager to see it. 2020 has been many things...a plethora of experiences. A time of loss, despair, resilience and hope. . Yet, as a child, I remember 1999. I looked to the skies and waited for the prophesied apocalypse promised in Revelations. When you understand you are a ripple in the universe, a mere speck in the time space continuum, you only fear you will go next next and will it be a painful transition. . Yet, 1999 had a smooth sunset; 2000 rose crystal clear and nubile. Well, not really...some folks had to update Windows. . How was I to know that Revelations would enact its scroll 20 years later along the west coast? It was patient enough and gave me courtesy to be the last stop. I don't call it kindness. I watched too many social media feeds drip crimson and soot. . I would whisper: 'Something wicked this way comes', but that would be folly, y'know? .
