nell mayhew: 9, being fostered by the feldman family after being surrendered to the foster care system at age 4. serious minded and practical, obsessed with dance.
caitlin feldman: 12, was legally adopted by the feldman family several years ago after being fostered by them. hard of hearing, very smart, wants to be president and dresses like it.
kavi bahmani: 12, best friends with amelie and kanani. has severe adhd and dyslexia, super passionate about musical theater, always in a good mood.
amelie maybeck: 13, best friends with kavi and kanani. transgender girl who has recently moved to the area. very shy and quiet, but loves painting and visual art.

josita ferrera: 13, best friends with ivy. immigrated to the us with her parents at age 2 from guatemala. hugely determined to be a pop star, musically gifted and very driven.
ivy phan: 12, best friends with josita. type 1 diabetic, has a service dog named dash to detect blood sugar drops. competitive athlete, always ready to practice and perform.

ive wanted ivy ever since she debuted in 2008. julie was my only historical doll as a kid so i of course wanted her to have her best friend, but there was no way i was getting another doll. im a cheapskate so its taken a long time for me to chance upon an ivy that im willing to pay for, but this one had tight limbs and beautiful hair (her bangs aren’t cut, they just got pulled back a bit by her headband), just a bit of silver staining on her eyelids that u of course can’t see when her eyes are open!! she came with this ag dog, so im assuming this is her service dog. ivy’s a mega athlete (u know, the one who is always dressed in athletic wear in case a track practice breaks out unexpectedly) and her service dog dash is there to alert her when her blood sugar drops unexpectedly and make sure she takes her insulin. she’s happy to join the fam!!

You were seriously one of my best friends for what, 6 years? It's been awhile. We haven't talked in a long time. Like a deep conversation kind of talk. I really miss the old days when we hung out every weekend. What happened during the past two years.. I don't really know. We just parted ways; grew apart from each other. Nowadays, it's so awkward to find something to talk about. Before we talked for hours on the phone about nothing, and now we barely even text each other ha. I asked you to hang out last weekend because I really did miss hanging out with you. Just a couple of weeks ago, I went through my old folders looking at all the posters and notes we made for each other. We had so many inside jokes and good times. I honestly want to know what happened.. I was planning on sending you a LONG e-mail, but I didn't have it, so I thought it'd be easier just to blog it.. lol. As you can tell, I'm not that great of a writer, yet I'm in Journalism -- how ironic. Haha, but anyways, I just wanted to let you somehow know, I miss hanging out, and talking, and just being friends.. We're not as close as we used to be, but I still hope you do good in life and it treats you well.
