CLOSED START FOR: @ivymunoz LOCATION: southwood pharmacy, downtown
As things usually went, Connor had come down with something just before the start of preschool, which meant Benji was at the pharmacy, waiting for Connor’s prescription to be filled and grabbing a few odds and ends to make his son more comfortable. Katie was — well, Katie wasn’t really up for any of it, and Benji could manage. Had been managing since whatever had happened between her and Isaac had upended her life. And while the blonde was at the end of his rope, he continued to put on a good face and remain upbeat. There were too many things to worry about now — Connor’s sinus infection, Flo’s pregnancy, and now whatever quarter-life crisis Katie was having. His only real sanity was the few minutes he had to himself as he browsed the aisles, almost ashamed to admit he was lingering simply to have a few quiet moments to himself.
Until, as things usually went in Eureka, he stumbled upon a familiar face. “— Hey!” He greeted with an immediate enthusiasm. “Long time, no see. How’re you? How’s the um — the boyfriend, right? Annie mentioned something.” Benji didn’t know Ivy altogether all that well, but they shared two very key common denominators, Annie and Katie. That felt significant enough that they’d have more than a passing greeting.
