This is a glimpse into the future of LD, a peaceful moment yet to come. Minor spoilers I suppose.

Now, since Rocky is a proper deep fictional crush of mine, and Cecyl is my Lackadaisy representation... when I saw it for the first time it just felt so... real. Hit me square in the heart it did.

A day version and a night version. Exactly when the moment takes place I haven't figured out yet, but both are equally beautiful to me. It can work either way. And no, this is not the first kiss, I'd never spoil that!

Honestly best work yet, for me at least. Such a tender situation, with such sensitive loving energy... this is the point when everything settled, when it all became unquestionable for these two. What they felt, what they were, and what they wanted.

Just you wait until the fic gets there :3

Jokes aside, very cool show and a very lovely natural feeling romance between N and Uzi, and that's high praise for someone like me who often don't engage with hetero romances much. But the whole thing is just SO overwhelming.

Cool, awesome, but holy crap I had such trouble following the story I had to watch a recap/explanation afterwards to get it all straight in my head.

My autistic ADHD ass really struggled. If it wasn't for the cute romance I am not sure the cool powers, intense action scenes and existential dystopic dread that permeates the entire show would've been enough, because there was just soooooooo much.

7/10 is my final review. Enjoyed it! Definitely a fan! If there is more in the future I'll watch, absolutely, and I have a lot of questions about the lore and how it all makes sense. But yeah it's not exactly for me to engage with regularly lol, kind of like a rollercoaster; you can't easily handle it more than once every now and then.

I shall return to my comfort of cute cats smuggling booze in the 1920s...

I'll be watching it all the way through I think, and now I also gotta catch up on TADC...

Can't help but feel however - mostly due to Kovach's acting I think - that N reminds me of Rocky in a lot of ways. That's not to say they're the same characters, they may have parallells, but they're ultimately vastly different people.

Yet, somehow they share similar... vibes? Archetypes?

Similar voice, similar personalities, similarly bullied and dismissed as an idiot by their peers, while also being quite capable in their own ways... It's like someone just took Rocky's personality/vibe, maybe stored in a memory chip as a program or smthn after cat society fell, and slapped it into N and pressed start. But there was no memory transfer or anything like that, just the programming/personality. I actually quite enjoy it!

It absolutely did not live up to my (unrealistic) standards, but the story is really taking shape and kicking off the ground now imo. Cecyl's backstory is fully fleshed out at this point, the fanfic now has a villain and an antagonist, and the first ideas for my "canon divergence" fic, Sweet Scents (Act 2 of Cecyl's story) have begun forming in my mind.

It's gonna get wild! Which is why I'll be revisiting chapter 1-5 now to give them some extra TLC and make them fit better into the narrative which I only really solidified recently.
