you guys meet on a field trip where you have to go someplace high like the grand canyon or the london eye and you just cling to the rails really tight and he’s the only one who notices so he comes up to you and starts talking, starts comforting you and at first you don’t want to admit it but then eventually you start to talk

he knows you love traveling so he took you on an internship with scotland yard and you went to sussex and solved some crimes together and met a boy called will with a weird middle name, something lock.

there are nights when you’re tired from school and you just want to sleep and so does he but you’re on the phone and you both keep talking and before you know it it’s four am and it’s two hours till you need to wake up and you end up staying all night

and that day in classes you just see each other and blush because why did i stay up all night to talk to this idiot i promise i’ll sleep early tonight but of course you just do the same thing all over again

your second anniversary he forgets that you’ve got a fear of heights and takes you hiking in the mountains bc greg is adventurous like that and you just cling to him really tight and once he remembers he just lets go of the whole plan and takes you back so you can hang out at home and just order takeout and have a lazy day as a way of apologising

you guys are adorable because he wants to be a soldier when he grows up but you won’t let him, because what if he dies without knowing you love him, but you’re too shy to say it so you don’t actually tell him until the day before he leaves

and it’s too late and he goes, but two months in he realises he can’t do it without you so he comes back and of course you’re happy because you’ve loved him since high school

since he held your hand on that rollercoaster ride because the others wouldn’t listen when you told them you were scared of heights
