To Whom it May Concern
I really hope this letter
finds you doing well.
If, however, you are reading this
I have escaped from my own hell.
The everyday monotony
has left my soul so weak.
I have tired from the run around
and living among the sheep.
Just know my friend, that you have been
a true light among the dark
that’s crept upon this city,
but now I must embark
on a journey towards a new, and better
plane to call my home.
A new beginning in a place
to lay claim to my throne.
There will be no harp,
no singing from an angel choir.
Rather I’ll meet the devil, fists held high
as to the depths I retire.
