Ash took a sip of their Red Bull, a single hand barely-pressed to Optimus' steering wheel as the mech rolled down the road. It had been one of those new editions- Iced, based on a quick glance.- They'd probably not be having it twice, but for now, it was their only source of caffeine- so beggars couldn't be choosers.
The world was still slightly foggy, adrift in a near-haze of grays and whites. Rocks and buttes would rise from the nothingness, towering- only to fall away without rhyme or reason, twisting into the dull abyss beyond. It was one of the sucky kind of days- warm and humid instead of warm and dry, capable of making one regret existing for at least a few hours if they dared set foot outside.
But, thankfully, the two wouldn't be outside (for the most part). Hazel hues flicked towards their 'passenger' (really, they were as much a passenger as her)- offering a faint smile.
"Don't worry. The 'bots are good folk- just like Opti here,...well." They paused, brow furrowing.
"Eyes on the road, Ash." Their head turned forward. Had to keep up appearances- though damn if it wasn't tempting to look.
"--They're probably more open emotionally than he is- but y'learn to read him just like the others." They stuck their tongue out at the steering wheel.
"...please, keep in mind that where I am taking you is meant to remain secret, July.- You cannot spread word of this to anyone."
