Better Watch Out (day 9)

*SPOILERS AHEAD* This movie was just released recently, yes, I have dropped some spoilers in past posts but those movies are older so if you haven’t seen them by now its probably been spoiled for you already! This is a fairly new movie that was just released this year as a Shudder exclusive. This movie completely blew me away! I did expect this to be your typical home invasion movie but it just twists on you into a psychotic teenager who goes on a mass killing spree all because he is in love with his baby sitter! And this kid is like a mix of Charles Manson and Ted Bundy crazy! But holy shit was the kid smart. Don’t get me wrong, I did want to reach into the tv and slap the shit out of the kid but some parts I was left with holy shit you have thought of everything. Plus, Dacre Montgomery has a bit part in the movie and I find him pretty!

Silent Night, Deadly Night (Day 10)

So, I realize that I can’t just give you all great posts on my personal opinions of these movies so I bring to you an absolute shit show of a movie! Silent Night, Deadly Night was released during the hype of the slasher movies. Despite its criticism because it would be too terrifying for a kid to walk into a theatre and see a poster for it, the movie is honestly just awful. Like the whole start a kid gets traumatized for a dude dressed as Santa murdering his parents which would be enough and then to just have a mean old nun make everything worse for the kid that he can’t even be attracted to a woman without losing his damn mind? Like COME ON!!! Some of the kills were kind of cool like the chick with the antlers but some were just so ridiculous. To punish myself further I did watch the sequel and for that one just the line “It’s Garbage Day!” should honest to god be said when someone asks to describe either of those movies!
