My kids are so lucky that they get to enjoy Christmas in Buffalo, NY and in NYC. They love spending Christmas at their grandparents house. This year it is a green Christmas in Buffalo and it‘s 50 degrees outside. It’s a bit too mild and I prefer a white Christmas but indoors it’s veritable Christmas wonderland! In 10 years we have only celebrated Christmas once in NYC and that was the year we moved to Washington Heights. It was memorable and forgettable all at the same time. Some things just evoke a feeling of Christmas and one of those things is spending it home in Buffalo. But always remember, if you can’t be with the ones you love at this time of year, love the ones your with. Families come in all shapes and sizes and luckily there is no one size fits all.
