♚: A time when you showed mercy
"Well I most certainly don't look like the type who show mercy, do I? No wonder you sound so interested.
Surprisingly enough, mercy is not beyond me. It has happened before and it will happen again; an unnecessary death is a waste when the person can still serve to a different endeavor. But the question is not about politics, is it? What do you wish to know, the time when I didn't turn to shreds the soul who was spread nasty lies about me, so instead I just made sure she only had a nasty bowel accident in one of our board meetings? She has surprisingly predictable habits, slipping something in her coffee wasn't that hard. But ah! That won't sound like mercy to you, I know it.
So let me gift you with some sincerity --the was a time, when I spared a man's life. Even helped him take retaliation on the client who had ordered his demise. He was old and tired and one of the smartest men I've known. By the time he took me home and I asked for a drink and maybe a bite, he just sat down and told me to get along with it. 'Why else would such a pretty young woman show such interest in me?' he told me, 'you are rich enough that's not my money you're after'.
So I sat down and we talked for hours, by the time dawn came I had chosen to spare his life. My client died before he realized his contract hadn't been fulfilled, of course. I became more selective of the deals I take, after that. I am not here to blindly kill for a couple coins. Maybe if the information I asked of my client in exchange had been true, he would still be around. But oh, darling. You do not lie to me."
