Delilah has come down with something, the first time she been sick since meeting Duncan and Mister MacCready. She sniffles and covers her face so she doesn't make them sick, watching as her dad's boyfriend teaches his son to read, using Grognak's help of course. "C.. Can I read, too?" She asks in a hoarse voice.
Duncan was tucked under his father's arm, leaning over his lap to look at the comic. When Delilah asked if she could join, he nodded and said "Yeah!" before Mac could even open his mouth.
The older MacCready chuckled and smiled softly at the girl, then patted the sofa cushion beside him. "Get up here, kiddo." With Duncan on the other side of him, maybe the cold wouldn't spread, and he wasn't as worried about catching it himself.
Mac had been hoping for an opportunity to start actually bonding with Butch's daughter. They were spending an increasing amount of time with each other, and it was increasingly important to Robert that he get Delilah's approval.
