          This man stood above the others in many ways, height being the most obvious. But he carried himself differently, like echoes that Rocinante could hear from... somewhere. But where? There was a vague flashback of gold and clouds. There was something in the man’s face that looked a little like his father’s, maybe the nose? These questions and more remained solely in his mind as he watched the man. Not many adults came to a junkyard like this, not unless they were also poor or searching for something.

          The child wiped at his face with his arm where tears had cut through the grime on his cheeks, leaving visible streaks that were smudged even further now. He wasn’t sure of the other’s intention, having been hunted down and hurt by others just for existing even when he couldn’t wrap his head around why, but at least there was no visible weapon on the man. It was too late for him to truly run or scramble away to keep a safe distance however. So he looked at the other, quiet save for the occasional sniffle that just emerged out of nowhere, or maybe somewhere deep within himself, his stomach twisted in pain of ever-present hunger. It wasn’t within him to do much more than question the man and his motives, or something to try to ward him off.

The strings wrapped tight around her limbs practically danced her forward like a marionette no matter how hard she tried to resist. Ikkaku really, truly despised Doflamingo’s powers. Well, she despised everything about him, really, but his powers were especially infuriating.

She was a woman who valued her freedom. Who only followed the commands of Trafalgar Law. But the stupid Ito Ito no Mi stole that from her and forced her to act as a damn puppet. And what does this sick, twisted, garish, arrogant monster make her do?

Bow before him and kiss his hand. Like she was charmed to meet him, or showing some kind of devotion and subjugation.

Bile rose in her throat, but as satisfying as it would have been to spit on him, all she could do was glare up at his grinning face, grateful that at least his damn strings couldn’t alter her expression.

   Trafalgar Law lounges upon the Heart Seat, black feathered coat bunched behind his head and long legs hanging over the arm rest. Eyes focus on the scalpel in his hand, the blade pushed under his own nail as he cleans some dirt out from under it. He lets out a heavy sigh, body slouching further. He’s been waiting here for far too long. Well, actually a couple minutes longer than he was expecting to and for someone who can be as controlling as he is that is a problem.

    He has work to do, trades to facilitate and bodies to harvest. The current Corazon of the Donquixote Family is a very busy man and his Young Master is aware of that. Which tells Law this is a power move, an attempt to irritate him so Doflamingo can make him aware of the control he has over him. It’s definitely something Law would do when dealing with his own subordinates. The two of them think alike, after all. So, guess he can’t be too mad. After all, he owes everything to his master.

   A click echoes through the empty chamber, a door opening to indicate someone entering. Golden eyes slide towards the entrance to see Donquixote Doflamingo stalking in. About damn time he decided to grace him with his presence. Law takes a deep breath, scalpel lowering but still getting twisted through restless fingers.
