Me explaining to @qrimsonfic why I am convinced Natasha Lyonne knows about my Russian Doll Dear Evan Hansen AU through a series of increasingly unlikely points of connection.

Again, from the second chapter of In the In-Between! Had some issues with this part, but I'm glad I did include it for the chapter.
Ash looks where it points, and he notices the three islands across from him — he's on Shamouti. He begins to ask something else when a splash comes from the ocean below. Cocooned in a sphere of water, a white beast breaks through. Blue plates line the ridge of its back, folding in as hand-like wings face the beast to the sky.
A blue ball of energy forms in its open mouth, and it shoots a beam of blue light into the sky. Dark clouds form where the god of the sea fired its attack — rain pours down, coating the dry land. It's a new beginning, a new reset to an island on the brink of collapse.
The vision flickers.

Hello!
For the writing ask meme:: 2, 6,18
Hi, hi! Thanks for the ask @perasperaadastrawriting!
2. give short descriptions of all the main characters for In the In-Between and God in the Midst.
Ash Ketchum - Usual. Heroic man with a heart of gold. Chosen One of the gods, but still not quite sure on his path. Going through a quarter-life crisis in the worst way possible.
Goh - Guide to the gods. Along with Hisuian Zoroark, makes up a new team for the gods to lead others through. Carving his own path, refusing to let the gods have any control over his choices.
Gary Oak - Emotionally stunted. Does not care if anyone flirts with any of his friends. Willing to go to hell and back to keep his friends/family safe.
Hailey Tockett - Strong, but breaking. Pokemon Ranger who continues to feel negative effects of previous deadly missions. Survivor's guilt. Not willing to put anyone she cares about in danger after working for Ranger Union.
6. are your projects driven more by character or plot?
By character, always. I can come up with a general plot, but the characters make it their own. Answers Buried in Time is the perfect example since the next two works in the series are wips. Totally initially plotted out 8-10 chapters like Secrets of the Fiore Temple before it, but the characters drove it to be much longer, much darker than it was initially intended.
18. how do what you look for in your own writing vs someone else’s coincide? how does your writing influence your reading?
I look at details more now than ever before. I love bright, vivid detail into the world that you create as a writer, artist, etc., and as it's something I continually add into my own stories, I look for it in others' stories as well. I think this actually covers both questions pretty well, the only thing I'd like to add in that my writing influencing what I read is that now I specifically look at tense in whatever I read. I write solely in present tense, so it's something I now pay much closer attention to the tense that others write in. (Would love to one day better my ability to write in past tense, but not there yet.)

Thanks for the tag, @writingpotato07!
Technically five lines, but it felt like best portion to give in this game. From the next chapter of In the In-Between:
For the first time in almost fifteen years, the Chosen One turns the cap on his head around — unconscious to the mirroring of a young boy; once lost in the world of the gods, now being led by a keeper of memory.
Hisuian Zoroark grins at him, teeth bared menacingly as Ash calls forth the first attack.
Unbeknownst to the trainer, a light shines brighter along the Rift.
It is time.
Anyone is welcome to participate, but going to tag: @lmaoirrelevant, @perasperaadastrawriting, @respectful-ramblings, @void-of-many-colours, and @chikoritadave. :)

Saw @writingpotato07 do this and wanted to participate! :)
Tagging @respectful-ramblings, @lmaoirrelevant, and @void-of-many-colours. Open to anyone who wants to play, though!
Hmmm… I had to think about this one a bit. Technically, my last line is in a much later chapter of God in the Midst; but I don't know that I'm ready to spoil just yet. So, I'm going to post the last few lines of the next chapter of In the In-Between. In an attempt to get the motivation to complete it.
"What do you want if you win?" Ash asks.
The fox grins at him, teeth bared menacingly as the shadows beside it fall back into the snow at its feet. "You to listen to Goh."
The human blinks, confusion crossing his features at the Pokémon across from him. Why isn't it choosing something for itself? Ash hadn't shown any kind of trust toward the fox — why isn't it trying to use a win against him?
This is probably an odd thing to say but I wanted to say, genuinely, how much The In-Between means to me.
It keeps popping into my head, especially It’s Always Been You. Just seeing characters who are flawed and human and undeniably queer. It means so much to me
I am honestly so grateful that people connected with this series so much! And I personally don't think it is at all weird to say!
I really loved writing that series, so I'm very grateful and happy that people loved reading it!
