Water, water everywhere, but try to get some to come through a 1930s faucet set. My friend wanted to install this pair of faucets in his retro bathroom along with a beautiful vintage marble lavatory, but no standard compression fitting or supply line retaining nut would fit the .650″ x 16 tpi faucet stems, and the current stock plastic supply lines (top of the three shown) are not sized to enter the openings through the bottom of the vintage stems. We machined the supply line terminals (lower two) to fit the stems, and made a couple of new nuts from 1″ brass round stock to retain them: milled hex flats, bored openings for the precision-machined PVC lines, and single-pointed internal threads to match the stems. Earned myself a growler of fine craft beer!
