The fallout from Luis Suarez’s biting incident against Italy on Tuesday continues to grow and William Hill are offering 6/1 that he is handed the maximum possible ban – two years.

Until Suarez wrapped his gnashers around Chiellini’s shoulder, there was plenty of talk about a move away from Anfield - so much so that before kick off on Tuesday, Suarez could be backed at just 8/11 to join Barcelona ..... however that price has drifted to 6/4 while he is now 1/2 to stay at Liverpool this summer. 

“We believe that there is every chance that Suarez will receive the maximum ban,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly. “The only people who might be happy about the incident are Liverpool fans as we now think he will be staying put.”

The maximum ban FIFA can issue is 24 games or a 2 year ban. FIFA rules state this can be for both domestic & International matches. This market is based on a ban for both domestic & International matches.
