Started the day having an amazing breakfast on the rooftop looking over Rome at our hotel. Then Elsinore and dad went to tour the Coliseum and the Vatican, and my mom and I went to museums (Galleria Moderna and MAXXI) and a lot of design stores all over Rome. My favorite thing was the big black lion sculptures in front of the Galleria Moderna. We had an amazing lunch at Life all with black truffles, and the sole was insanely great. We had dinner at Benco, which was absolutely delicious! 6 weeks ago my Italian came out Spanish, but with 6 weeks of intense Italian I had long conversations with Italians all day relatively fluently. I loved talking to the Calabrian owner tonight and listening to his story. Ellie found some amazing gems! Highly recommend these two places from today. Too bad Ellie was too tired to join us tonight.
