In all the years they’ve lived together they’ve hardly been separated for longer than two weeks. So, perhaps the dependency he’s developed because of that is more than a little unhealthy. After all... he is twenty years old, now. Sasuke Uchiha is supremely pissed off at his older brother, though. To the point that, for the past two days he’s done little more than grunt at him in passing when in the kitchen and retreat back to his room. Or go to work.
Truthfully, his behavior is the epitome of childish immaturity, but he can’t help it. He and his aniki were supposed to be together. Always. They were all they had left, after their family died off one by one -- ending with their parents in a car crash fourteen years ago. If Sasuke had nothing else, that must mean Itachi didn’t either, right? Apparently he was wrong. His older sibling had one thing that wasn’t him: work. And he was in love with it. Obsessed.
To the point that just two days ago, he’d had a “surprise” sprung on him out of nowhere. Itachi was leaving. For more than two weeks: he was moving away for his job. Just remembering that fact had the twenty year old curling up in his bed and clutching his blanket to his chest as if he were trying to shove it in to fill the void that was already forming at the mere thought of his brother’s absence. This apartment would be so empty without him...
At the sound of a knock on his door, he did the most juvenile thing he could think of: fling his pillow at it. Like it’d make him go away. If Itachi wants to leave him alone, he can do it. He can fucking do it now instead of dragging it out.
“Go the fuck away, aniki.”
