so I just watched the pitt trailers because I've actually never seen them before and I caught something

a few scenes in the s1 trailer seemed to have been tweaked slightly in post production and this shot was never in the first episode

anyways logging this as another "rabbot looking at each other fondly" moment

tbh i think the only way i'd be happy with a fic that includes mechpreg is if ratchet is in there performing as many abortions as wanted or needed. also let's give those bots some sex education classes ffs. i know it's a kink thing at this point but come on, if you (general you, not you personally) want to give bots an organic biological process, at least let them work around it too the same way we do.

I agree and in my biased opinion honestly it makes the ones they do keep thematically stronger when you acknowledge that abortion is a thing in the setting (if not even more common than keeping it tbh when you account for the war and the circumstances)

Sex education classes in fics also often is an excellent vehicle to explain cybertronian anatomy worldbuilding, which I love, and birth control 100% should be mentioned more in fics past just it failing for plot convenience

I think this should extend past Transformers mechpreg into other pregnancy focused fiction too I wanna know about how they go about birth control & abortion in fantasy settings and in omegaverse settings too

also i just read the bit about lergen's "diplomatic mission" and im kind of flabbergasted (positive)

genuinely such a good way to portray the fundamental problem with the empire, like it suddenly makes perfect sense why they're so glaringly horrible at diplomacy despite not inherently being any more regressive or nationalistic than any of the other great powers; in fact they're weirdly progressive in some areas (if only for utilitarian reasons)

and that doesn't matter because there's a fundamental structural and memetic flaw in the entire nation-apparatus that just. utterly fucked them over. that was also crucial in its original foundation
