I see all these people saying that Iida being the one to save Izuku is “unexpected” or “surprising”, and I’m like bitch speak for yourselves, I was on this train ever since 318... Iida didn’t become Izuku’s very first real friend alongside Ochako, go on his own reckless rogue mission like Izuku is now and be saved by him then, punch some sense into him out of concern when he tried to go after Bakugou alone at Kamino, and worry over him after the Nighteye incident and tell him he could talk to them anytime he needs to for y’all to completely forget about his importance like this
