Sapnap and George visit Dream in prison
Dream looks up at his new guests and pushes himself off of the floor, stepping towards George and Sapnap. Sapnap subtly steps in front of George as an attempt to protect him from the unpredictable male but the motion doesn't go unnoticed. Dream stops in front of Sapnap, his mask long abandoned on the floor of the cell.
"It's been a while.." Dream begins, looking between his two former friends. "How's life..?"
"..Why did you do this to yourself?" Sapnap asked, venom lacing his tone as he took a step closer to Dream "You brought this on yourself! You didn't have to threaten them... They're kids, Dream!"
"I know." The blonde let out a sigh and walked back to the corner he was originally in, sliding down the wall and putting his head in his knees.
"Is that all you have to say? You've traumatized them! They'll never be the same!" Sapnap was visibly angry, annoyed at the taller's nonchalant response.
"Sapnap.. Calm down... We didn't come here to fight." George placed his hand on Sapnap's shoulder, making sure he didn't do anything he'd regret. Silence fell upon the boys. The only sound you could hear was the layers of lava surrounding the obsidian box. George became uncomfortable in the silence and walked up to the chest near Dream, opening it with a soft creak.
"Books? Do you read these?" George asked, carefully pulling the thick paged book out of the chest and looking at Dream.
"They're all blank.." The prisoner looked up at the book, "I'm supposed to write in them or something.." George flips through the pages of the book he was holding, a slight breeze of air hitting has face from the quick movements of the paper. The air made him realize how hot it actually was in the cell as he quickly flipped through the pages once again, creating a fluttering sound that echoed around the room.
"So what else do you do in here..?" The arsonist finally spoke up and looked at Dream.
"Think." Dream said, standing up once again and leaning on the wall behind him.
"About?" Sapnap and George asked at the same time, George looking up from the book and at Dream.
Dream stifled a laugh at the sweet moment. It had been a while since he last heard them do that. "The things I could have done differently.."
"Why did you dethrone George?" The ravenette asked
"It wasn't safe." The taller replied
"How was it not safe? You were supposed to be his guard."
"People wanted him dead, Sapnap."
"You should have been able to protect him!" Sapnap began to raise his voice
"He wasn't fit to be king."
"Yes he was! He would have been a better king than Eret!"
"If he's such a great king why has he betrayed you so many times by teaming up with your enemies?" Dream couldn't respond, He just sighed and walked to the wall of lava.
"After staring at this for a while it becomes.. therapeutic..." Dream blatantly ignored Sapnap's question, his hand reaching out to touch the lava.
"Answer the damn question, Dream!" Sapnap pushed Dream against a wall, fed up with his behavior.
Dream let out a short laugh "You aren't very intimidating Sapnap." He'd pat Sapnap's head, an action he knew the younger hated, and walked back to his corner.
George had been sitting on top of the chest quietly, hating every second of seeing his best friends argue. "Dream, What are you thinking about writing?" He asked quickly, trying to change the subject before it got worse.
"Probably stor-" "You don't care about us, do you?" Dream was cut off by Sapnap as he walked closer to Dream once again. "You never did. You're selfish, Dream! You only looked out for yourself and didn't care who you hurt in the process!"
"I do care about you guys.." The blonde tried to defend himself, looking Sapnap in the eyes.
"You're a liar, a narcissist, and a manipulative killer." Sapnap shoved Dream against the wall again and the prisoner huffed.
"If I didn't care about you, I wouldn't be talking to you right now!" Dream seemed to snap, getting annoyed with how he was being treated. "You would be dead, Sapnap! I could have killed you so long ago." With every word Dream stepped closer to Sapnap. The shorter backing away from Dream in the process. "I know what I did to Tommy and Tubbo and if I'm going to be honest with you, I don't regret it. Tommy has always been a nuisance and I should have killed Tubbo at the election! It was obvious that he was going to be a horrible president." Sapnap had gotten much closer to the lava know but Dream continued to step closer. A loud ding echoed through the room which signaled that time was up. Dream returned back to his corner, not even glancing back at Sapnap and George scooted off of the chest, making his way to Sapnap.
They stood on the other side of the Netherite blocks and watched the lava flow down.
"Goodbye, Dream.." George said, glancing at the man who had now put his mask back on.
"Bye, George..." The masked man mumbled as his old friends traveled back towards Sam.
