#istebrak

I never ended up sharing this and I think it’s pretty fun.

I started following Istebrak on youtube at the end of last year and have learnt boatloads about design and digital painting in that time.

One of her suggested projects (in hopes of combatting same-face syndrome) is to photobash a mashup of different people’s features together, and then paint in the other half of the face.

It sounded fun, so I had a real hard think about the different features I headcannon Enjolras as having, and then went hunting to find them.

I do love that I ended up with an entire crew of Broadway / West End performers! It wasn’t intentional, but starting with the actors who have played Enjolras seemed logical and it spiralled from there.

Character design sketches - Major tom

Another challenge from Istebrak, this time inviting all the weird, bizarre, and creative character designs.

This is Major Tom, in reference to David Bowie’s song ‘Space Oddity’. I included some of my process as well as the final sketches.

Aaaand another portrait for practice. Imagine how good the fanart will look when I’ll feel secure enough to draw new things again.
