Issue 55 is out, so I’ll get right into it!
So Sonic and Tails have followed Surge and Kit’s trail to the Starline base where they were created, but Metal Sonic and Eggman also show up, and while Metal is busy fighting Sonic and Tails, Eggman looks around for Surge so he can take back his Dynamo Cage...
Surge however manages to take care of Eggman’s machines, and he also finds out that Starline figured out his secret codes that he would use to escape, leaving Eggman in a bit of a tricky situation.
Said tricky situation doesn’t last too long though, as Metal Sonic as well as Sonic and Tails show up, and Surge runs off for the time being.
Sonic and Eggman then once again form a temporary truce to defeat Surge and take back the Dynamo Cage, and Kit has locked down the base and set up a trap for them with Surge that they start making their way towards.
On the way, they figure out that it was Starline who created Surge and Kit, and they arrive at the point where Surge and Kit are waiting for them...
And that’s it for Issue 55!
We also got the preview pages for Issue 3 of Scrapnik Island, which comes out on the 21st...
It was also revealed that we’ll be getting another one-shot special for the series’ 5th anniversary in April called Sonic the Hedgehog 5th Anniversary Edition, and we also got a couple covers for it...
The actual substance of the one-shot is still currently unknown, although if I had to make a guess based on the covers, it’ll probably at least include the first four issues of the series as well as possibly a new story or other issues we’ve already seen to go along with them.
