I've noticed on Pixiv that Furinaba (Flynn x Navarre) is reasonably well liked insofar as small ships go. And it makes me so pleased seeing my blorbo get the love and attention he wants.
I'm still bigger on my crack ship IssacharNava, but I find FlynnNava to be really cute too and it's easily my second favorite of Navarre ships.
I was hesitant about referring to Issachar x Navarre as IssaNava because Issa- still sounds similar to Isabeau and I didn't want the two to be conflated.
But thinking about it some more, maybe Issa- is clear enough and won't cause confusion? What do other people think?
Instead of fretting about how to name a ship, I really should just draw IssacharNava lmao.
My Ghost Issachar AU is like, one where Issachar haunts Lake Mikado (which actually is canon) with the weight of his regret for his actions and mistreatment of Flynn. And after seeing the IVA party's sheer tenacity of fighting off the angels and goal of saving Flynn, he is swayed and opts to join them.
For the explicit purpose of personally giving Flynn the treasured fish hook. Which, of course, the outcome of which hinges entirely on the route taken. (Oouugh.)

Admittedly I have lowkey been playing around with the idea for an IssacharNava AU fanfic. I can make no guarantees though, but revisiting IV and reviewing everything has given me a healthy dose of optimism.
