The man lapsed into complete silence, then was suddenly overcome with the strange urge to bring a hand up to touch his temple. Bandaged—he winced. Even that light brush of his fingers brought him a sharp pain.
His eyes flicked over as he lowered his hand, and seemingly, there was a woman beside him all of a sudden. And yet… she seemed like she had been there for a while, and apparently they had been having a conversation—yet he couldn’t remember anything before this question.
He tried searching his memory—but found he had none to speak of.
"…No," he replied, rather reluctantly, to the stranger beside him, feeling terribly vulnerable. "What—what happened?"
