Isn't it Strange how some people never touch us, no matter how much they talk, or write, or blog... and yet others say but a few words and personify everything we've been trying to say? đĽ. Well, that's what @laurenaquilina has always been for me - long since sixth form days of listening to her self-financed EPs and going to tiny shows in the closest northern city and waiting around after for chats and paranoids and bourbons.... â¤ď¸ And this week, lovely, talented Lauren has released her debut studio album...and I'm over the moon to add it to my collection. đš Some people move through over lives like a passing train, never once affecting us despite moving at such a speed... and yet some are but a sudden glimmer on the horizon that end up giving us a whole new perspective... Isn't it Strange? đĽ Check out 'Isn't it Strange' on iTunes / Spotify, y'all. â¤ď¸ This girl is going places. #Proud #LaurenAquilina #IsntItStrange #Music #instagram

Isn't It Strange....?
âIsnât It StrangeâŚ.?â
The following list was found on a blog, which I stumbled upon and couldnât help but share. The author is anonymous.
Isnât it strange how a 20 dollar bill seems like such a large amount when you donate it to God, but such a small amount when you go shopping?
Isnât it strange how endless an hour seems when we are serving God, but how short it is when we watch a football game for 60 minutes?
Isnât it strange how 2 hours seem so long when youâre at church, and how short they seem when youâre watching a good movie?
Isnât it strange that you canât find a word to say when youâre praying, but you have no trouble thinking what to talk about with a friend?
Isnât it strange how difficult and boring it is to read one chapter of the Bible, but how easy it is to read 100 pages of a popular novel?
Isnât it strange how everyone wants front-row-tickets to concerts or games, but they do whatever is possible to sit at the last row in Church?
Isnât it strange how we need to know about an event for Church 2-3 weeks before the day   so we can include it in our agenda, but we can adjust it for other events in the last minute?
Isnât it strange how difficult it is to learn a fact about God to share it with others, but how easy it is to learn, understand, extend and repeat gossip?
Isnât it strange how we believe much of the media we read, see and hear (Newspaper, TV, Radio, Internet) but we question the words in the Bible?
If you were completely honest with yourself, you would admit that you have broken all of these, perhaps even on a regular basis. What almost every point boils down to is a respect and love for God. Our world seems increasingly Godless, and it is now more than ever that Christians need to help reverse some of these trends. We need to be so in love with God that we canât wait to open up his Word every day; so in love that we canât wait to pour out our souls as we worship him in spirit and in truth; so in love that our knees are calloused from praying to our Father. We canât exist solely to warm a pew, to gloss over a chapter of the Bible a few nights a week, or repeat our same old tired prayers. If this lists struck you the way that I did me, do something about it and resolve to change something. Put down that novel you got for Christmas and read Hebrews, Romans, or some Psalms. I hear those books are more valuable anyways. Take some of your Christmas money and give it to God, or do something for someone who needs it. Begin reconditioning your mind to enjoy worship, service, and prayer. Pay as much (or more) attention during the sermon as you do at school or during a work meeting. Resolve to change something. Letâs regain that love for God and a respect for Him.
