34 days till the release of 「Perfume The Best “P Cubed”」
With the seventeenth song to commemorate (track #2): I still love U IslU was released as an album only track on Perfume’s 2nd official album (3rd if you count Complete Best) ⊿ on 08/07/2009 under the Tokuma Japan Communications label. ⊿ was the second album to get the 1st spot on the Oricon Charts and it certified platinum. IslU is a 80′s Japanese R&B-like song which has really sad and depressing lyrics talking about a breakup. The persons’s partner has just broken up with them and they think it’s their fault. The person is still in love and can’t get over it (I still love U抜け出せない). There are really sad lyrics like: 「震えた気がして電話を見て 気のせいだとがっかりしたりもして」 (I look at my phone thinking it had vibrated, though it was only my imagination and now I feel disappointed). 「I can smile 隱してるの この気持ち 涙に変えて」 (I can smile, I will hide my real feelings and turn them into tears) The music video contains the three girls sitting and singing to the lyrics. There is a depth-of-field effect so the background is faded away.
