Ishavan, a deity of water and wealth. Before he was summoned into the mortal realm, a gold statue resembling his likeness at the center of his temple was stolen and melted down. Having had no likeness to imprint upon when he arrived, Ishavan is stuck in this realm as an ever shifting mass of flesh, fur, feather, and scales. Raging against the insolence of one man who dared to defile him, Ishavan drowned the Holy City into which he was summoned. All of it’s inhabitants perished in the flood. Though time has seen those waters slowly drain away, the deity still languishes in that city, alone. No one dares enter it, for any who do shall surely parish by the spiteful hands of the deity himself.  Any form he attempts to shape himself into is only ever temporary and is much like trying to hold water in your hands. It’s never long before his coveted shapes melt away into his usual strangeness. (top artwork by @commissionsbyj, middle works by @geegless ...the bottom mos piece is my own work)
A small heist goes awry, and Maika flees into the Drowned City in effort to lose her pursuers. She trades a caravan of angry merchants for the company of the spiteful god Ishavan.
