Flashback Friday... . I never got around to posting about my Mother’s Day weekend and these photos need to come out of draft. Lol. . Aside another #IronmanVirtual race (#VR6 this time at an Olympic distance) getting completed, I had my first “reality check” of the big changes happening around here soon. . Our eldest duckling is leaving the nest for college this Fall #LSUbound (I think🤔) and we decorated her car as part of the high school tradition. La Corona and quarantine life (and the constant shitstorms) must have created an emotional bubble l around me. As where when I’d normally be a puddle of tears, I’ve taken things fairly stoically over the last few months. . This car decorating business broke the seal.🥺😭 . All the dominos are falling. Picking up cap n gown happened, emails to close out the school year, picking dorms...you get it. I’m not ready to see her go and not have her in the house. And I won’t type another word or I’ll fall apart again. 😩😭 . I spent my Mother’s Day in the most chill way. I did NOTHING and I reminisced over thousands of pictures and told stories with the kids as they hung out with me throughout the day. (Slide for my kids virtual card to me ❤️). . I’m so grateful to be their mom and couldn’t ask for a better gift than having them all with me. ❤️ .
