I’ve had a rough go at it this pregnancy Gemmie Friends. Everything has felt off and no matter how hard I try I’m just out of sorts. . I was recently diagnosed with gestational diabetes and I can’t shake feeling like I did something to cause it. . I followed all the recommendations. I eat a balanced diet, stay active (hell I have a toddler) and drink what feels like gallons of water! . The diagnosis doesn’t make any sense. I am healthy! And I really, really don’t like poking myself in the finger four times a day to check my blood sugar. 😔 . “Stay active,” they say. . So who takes on a seasonal job at a retail fine jeweler when they are 8mo pregnant? Me! 🙃 . But I can’t lie, I love selling jewelry...it’s in my blood. . It’s hard trying to be a good mom and juggle living your passion at the same time though. . So today I wanted to share some “Real Deal Holyfield.” I always try to be transparent because everything just isn’t part of the highlight reel...some of life’s challenges are messy. . While I was checking my levels today what appeared to be a heart, formed and I couldn’t resist the photo. I still believe our toughest challenges bring about our biggest transformations.❤️ . I’ll be rewarding myself this weekend with a trip to @ooakchicago with my love. .
