Ganpati special! . . . . . . . . . Last week was all about seeking blessings from our favourite God! From childhood I’ve enjoyed the 10 days festivities that brings families and friends together, food and dressing up in traditional attire has always been a huge part of this. This year I decided to take dressing up a notch higher. Inspired by my dear friend @nikaytaa and her initiative @theindiandrapingco, I took the opportunity to try on two new drapes with the 6 yard saree The blue saree is an Irkal draped like a pant and the final look is like a typical 9 yard or better known as the ‘nouwari’, coupled with the ethnic neckpiece and the tied up hair do or the Tibetan bun, it was perfect mixture of comfort, culture and curiosity. The red saree is a Silk Bandhani, draped as a skirt and called the East Champaran drape. The most fun I had was when I walked out of the house wearing this uber chic skirt saree into a movie theatre and had a lot of eyes turning 😊 @nikaytaa pls carry on your work with bringing the saree back, I’m really looking forward to being part of your workshop soon 👍🏼 #drapeoftheday #saree #sareelove #sareesmaharashtra #irkal #irkalsaree #bandhani #bandhanisaree #eastchamparan #pantsdrape #sareefriends #sareesisterhood #sareeindia #sixyards #sixyardsofelegance (at Thane) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bn0S-Z7gTsC/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=18dbr3s4y7wcr
