Dublin, the rainbow city. A quick flight from Glasgow, perfect destination for a few lazy Erasmus days.
A lot of people come here to enjoy the endless party atmosphere invading Temple Bar area. At some point some random fat drunk girl entered the pub where I was waiing for some friends, smashed her pint on to the floor, burst out laughing and just stumbled out as the blasés waiters were already cleaning behind her. There was something inherently funny in her huge and blobby breast crashing and soaking into her own beer, and a bit sad in how the staff looked absolutely used to it. The lady seemed to have tons of fun though, and this story still makes me smile when I remember about that trip.
If you decide to get yourself lost after midnight on a Friday night to find the O’sullivans near Trinity College, you may catch another glimpse of Dublin night life. Like a bunch of students asking you for a 35mm photography in exchange for directions to the above mentioned pub, a dizzy Irishman inviting you to become intoxicated (obviously) and more drunk tourists wandering in the streets as you get lost again, almost on purpose this time, on your way home.
