My husband calls this 'shaking the can' and I guess I am shaking it since the time is finally here! This Saturday I start my 215 KM bike trek from Ottawa to Cornwall and back in an effort to raise money to fight Multiple Sclerosis. I'm riding in honour of my dad, Joe who most of you know was diagnosed with primary progressive MS six yeas ago. It is because of him we just moved from New York City to Ottawa. The MS Bike is so important, not only to me, but to the countless number of people who are affected by MS daily. Every little bit helps! Last month alone we received some GREAT NEWS from the MS CHAPTER here in Ottawa. There is now a stem cell treatment option for people with aggressive MS at The Ottawa Hospital. Right here in Ottawa! People like you made this happen. The Canadian Bone Marrow Transplantation trial was funded through money raised from events like the MS Bike. This is such an important and inspiring milestone for MS patients, their families and friends. I am proud to ride and to support MS research for another year! By supporting our MSRIDE team you are contributing to Canadian research that yields real results. Multiple sclerosis may be Canada’s disease, but with Canadian MS research like this, we are on our way to ending MS for people who live with all types of the disease. So I don't mean to shake the can, but I'm shaking the can (sorry, not sorry) and asking for your help as I try to raise money for research and for the MS Society. They have helped my dad and family so much and countless others. So, please, if you can help me support this worthy cause. The ride is this weekend but you have until SEPTEMBER 6th to donate! Thank you in advance for supporting MY RIDE and most of all for honouring my dad with your support - THANK YOU - it means the world to us! http://mssoc.convio.net/site/TR/BikeTour/OntarioDivision?px=2445059&pg=personal&fr_id=4906&s_locale=en_CA LINK IN PROFILE - Obrigado! #MSBIKE #MSBIKEOTTAWA #myottawa #MSBIKEOTTAWATOCORNWALL #ottawa #mutiplesclerosis #IrideforJOE #irideformydad #MSbike #teamfight #endMS ❣🚴🏻
