Saoirse & Soojin first met around the 1980s when diplomatic ties between Ireland & Korea began. I think there was definitely an attraction there, but i like them being a more recent couple, so i dont think they properly spoke until the late 2000s-2010s when tech allowed for easier global communication.

I love to call them "unexpected soulmates", literally no one could've predicted they would end up together. But their similar life experiences meant they both felt an immediate understanding and connection, which very quickly became romantic

Soojin is dying to take Saoirse out ice skating but Saoirse is a little too nervous to step foot on the ice. She would rather sit on the sidelines and watch her girlfriend do her thing instead.

Ireland is great a hair styling but bad at make up. Korea is the exact opposite. So they help one another get ready whenever they'rd going out somewhere.

Unfortunately, because Korea still isnt very accepting of LGBT+ pairs, Soojin can't risk dating Saoirse publicly. They disguise their connection as them being close friends. And keep the romance hidden. Only a few close friends actually know.

Despite not being together long, Saoirse made Soojin a personal claddagh ring, it acts as a sort of promise ring, that she continues to love her even through the long distance and the secret dating.

Saoirse makes Soojin a shit load of jewellery, the two's love language is for sure gift giving, and Soojin treasures every single piece.

The minute Saoirse told Soojin that Irish is considered an endangered language, Soojin IMMEDIATELY bought books and dictionaries to try and learn it for saoirse. It's a struggle bc it's so unlike any of the other languages she knows, but she refuses to give up because she knows what it means to Saoirse

They both go crazy for a good stew. And Soojin is the chef in their relationship ofc.

They are constantly video chatting, even if its hard to find a good time for them both. They miss one another a lot.

Nothing beats running off and planning a romantic trip together to the irish or korean countryside.

They're a very musical pair. I can see them coming up with songs together for the sake of it or doing harp & gayageum duet covers. Or they're always playfully singing when they're together.

Soojin is often making custom content for video games that is based off of saoirse. The way she styles her hair, her hobbies, personal items she has. Etc.

Saoirse is a fairly good sketch artist and she loves sketching Soojin's small dog, Dubu.

((An actual age for Ireland I have yet to find, so I just go with when the celts reached the island and whap a < on there to show she’s probably younger. South Korea’s is based off of the kingdom of Silla and I googled her name in Korean so pls tell me if it’s wrong.))
