Solid Save Yourself Advice
STEP 1: figure out what you wanna do( for me its nursing)
STEP 2: figure out the stepping stones of the entire field (Totem pole if you prefer, CNA is at the bottom, LPN then RN in the over simplified sense)
STEP 3: Get certified/ job in said bottom of pole- you learn so much more experience wise than any book can explain plus once you become what you desire you will appreciate others who are at the bottom and create allies.(CNA certification takes 8-16 weeks depending on school)
STEP 4: get a job at bottom while in school, if your work place is as good as mine, you will be able to practice what you learn in school and get better at it before any test time rolls around. ( CNAs go from hospice, to nursing facilities to hospitals)
Step 5: Read total money makeover by dave ramsey- it is not a get rich quick book, its a work until you make it scheme with a defined game plan. it kept me out of debt while in school and it brought my parents out of debt while paying for 3 college tuitions and helped them create wealth. (it will save you, and give you hope for the future)
