They're strong in science/engineering and genuinely excited about JEE — then IPMAT is the wrong primary focus

They have very weak Verbal Ability and aren't willing to put in specific effort to build it

They're in their final months of Class 12 with only 3–4 months to prepare (too late for proper Higher Maths coverage)
