Day 5 at Swim Ireland #IOSC19 saw more GOLD for Ellen Walshe as she posted another lifetime best time for the 4th time this week to win her 4th National Title. Another busy night of Finals opened with a sold swim from Laura Gleeson in the 1500FC, in her first Irish LC Nationals event, so great learning from her. After Both Saulius Uoka & Ethan Brady had qualified from the morning heats for Finals in the 200FC, after Uoka set a new PB, both boys further improved their heat swim efforts with further PB's for both Ethan to finish 6th in the 'B' Final and Saulius for a 9th place int he Junior Final. In the Boys 100BF event, Oscar Randles heat swim again ensured his continued progress and learning in his first Irish National LC championships, while Sean McNicholl posted a strong heat swim and further strong effort in the 'A' Final of the Mens event. In the 200BC event, Ethan Brady posted a solid heat swim, in quick succession after the 200FC. In the Women's event a great effort from Cara Osing saw her making the 'A' Final and finish a strong week of racing with a great PB and a 6th place Irish athlete finish in the event. In the heats of the 100BF, a seasons best from Hannah Walshe was backed up by both Robyn Lynch and Ellen Walshe making the 'A' Final in the event. Robyn produced another strong swim in the final this evening. Ellen Walshe completed a superb week of racing with another GOLD Medal swim in the Women's 100BF, a NEW Lifetime best, her 4th of the week to marry with her 4th National Title of the week. Ellen has, this week won the 50BF for the very first time, the 400IM for the very first time, the 200BF for the 4th time in a row, and the 100BF for the second time in a row and ALL swims in lifetime best performances.
