"don't be such a spiteful bitch," ione huffs, rolling her eyes. "if you didn't think it would matter you wouldn't have tried to hide it either, would you?"

"you think i'd do anything if it would hurt you?" ione asked, head tilting slightly as she looked at lola. she could totally understand why the other woman was worried and there was no hiding it. she could feel how quickly her pulse was racing them her thumb grazed at her neck. "it'll sting for... less than a second when i bite and then you shouldn't feel a thing," she explained, offering a toothy smile, "if it does hurt anymore than that, i'll let you stab me with a fork or something."

"you didn't — i don't know, think to mention this to me before now?" ione had known that there would be things that would make a relationship with victor complicated but she hadn't quite expected something like this. "can you even do that? if it's been planned for so long?"

"—have a nice life means walk in front of a bus, obviously!" ione huffed, arms crossing over her chest. "i don't care care. i'm just surprised! you didn't exactly strike me as the marriage type."

"yes, she told me," ione huffed, as if that was the thing worth focusing on right now. "what do you mean what were you supposed to do? you didn't think of mentioning it?!"

“well that’s not going to fucking happen so get over yourself,” ione huffed, crossing her arms over her chest as she attempted to stand her ground. “make me disappear, huh? i’d like to see you try.”

“undermining you?" she echoes with a scoff, shaking her head. "just because i do not agree with the things you say does not mean that i am undermining you — am i not to have an opinion?”

“you won’t die…” at least, ione believes that she has the self control to prevent such a thing from happening. how that pans out in practice is perhaps slightly different but she’ll do her best not to kill him. it would be a damn shame when he’s being so sweet in offering himself up to her like this so easily. “just relax, breathe. i’ll take care of the rest,” almost coos to him as eyes drop from his face, focusing on the spot on his neck where the faint thrumming of a vein beneath the surface can be seen. when fangs puncture the skin, a sigh slips from her mouth as lips close around the wound. eyes close as she presses in closer to him, chasing more of the taste and aching for his warmth.
