Mark is a leader, by example, by default. The boys just seemed to look to him for guidance. Ever since they met, it was always his job to make sure everyone was comfortable, everyone was okay physically and mentally. Mark didn’t exactly have that for himself, for the most part it was his fault. He didn’t like bothering people with his burdens, his emotions. It was a very rare thing for him to take any type of drug. He seen how it’d torn his parents down and he didn’t want it to become a permanent thing in his life either. But, every once in a while Mark stooped low enough to buy a couple pills; he’d take a handful, enough to keep him high to the point where he wouldn’t fall asleep but instead- he’d lie in his bed all night and just existed. It was a bad habit, he hated himself for it. Yet he’d still fronted a bottle from a dealer.
Mark had genuinely forgotten he’d done so after a couple of weeks; this lead to him getting a barrage of calls from the dealer, telling him he’d better pay up or else. Mark ignored it, he didn’t have money to waste on paying the male back. Calls turned into personal threats, people showing up at his door. His brothers were alert, always; Mark held no fear that they’d end up hurt. His family was the toughest he knew. But little did he know, the dealer was very intent on getting Mark to know he was serious. It was absurd, were they targeting his friends? Mark could only theorize at the moment; he was making his way towards the familiar females home while they spoke among the phone. “I’m sure you just forgot to lock the door or something. I’m almost there, just don’t go in and stay where it’s well lit okay? Everything is okay, I promise.” The boy spoke with hopes of calming the girl down as much as possible, though she wasn’t the only one worried about their safety.
