Wemmbu and Boosfer with their reputation of betraying would have a sign on the back of their head that would scream in capital letters "DO NOT TRUST", but who would've thought that they would trust each other?
The first sign of trust, the first olive branch, came unexpectedly from Boosfer when he gave Wemmbu his Mace. It is weird to see after Parrots POV how an independent Boosfer, a selfish leader with his goons, turns into a very dependent on Wemmbu Boosfer in the Underworld.
I like to think that Wemmbu had a switch on his opinion on Boosfer in the end when Boosfer gave him his last enderpearl. Wemmbu didn't even ask for it like he did before, Boosfer just gave it with pure hope that Wemmbu would come back for him after restocking. Wemmbu realised that Boosfer would probably get killed if he left AND HESITATED. Despite his sole purpose of being in this dimension is to kill Boosfer - he hesitated when it actually came to it. It was so incredibly convenient for him to just leave Boosfer there to die, but he didn't. Instead Wemmbu trusted him back - he gave him his enderpearls and stalled the guards in his absence. AND BOOSFER CAME BACK AS SOON AS HE COULD 🙌 peak cinema. for the first time that Wemmbu trusted someone (minus egg) and they did not betray. Keep in mind that leaving Wemmbu was also incredibly convenient for Boosfer as well as he would get rid of the only person that wanted him dead so badly.
The ending is also very important, even before the button - he actually gave Boosfer his mace back. Of course it was unenchanted, but let's remember that Wemmbu burnt ALL of the same unenchanted maces at Farlands, not allowing even Egg to keep one. Character development #1.
That was initially in the tags, but I also really like the scene before they actually escape - Boosfer let Wemmbu get out first. I consider this as a sign of both his trust towards Wemmbu since he could've easily blocked the entrance, for example, like he did with Jaden in the abandoned civilization and as his growth as a character: Boosfer is known to be selfish and to use people for his advantage, always putting himself in first place yet he let Wemmbu get out before himself. It proves that Boosfer did not use Wemmbu nor was it the other way. They truly worked together. Character development #2
And, of course, the button. Despite all venom words of "I hate you", "I hope I'll never see you again", "I'm starting to regret my decision to spare you" ect, he didn't throw away the button. He kept it. Can you imagine BOOSFERS button as the token of friendship to be in the same enderchest that the sunflower - a memory of a dead friend (Rejoice) - is? Can you imagine the button to hold any sentimental value to Wemmbu whatsoever? If Wemmbu is not a definition of a tsundere I don't know who is.
