Oh, this is going to be interesting.

Unfortunately (Or fortunely? probably not though), Owen compares Esra to Cain a very unhealthy amount in his mind. He does this with most knight like people but Esra and Cain have a similar-ish appearance and because of this he sees a LOT of Cain in Esra. He sort of has determined in his mind "Esra is what Cain would have became if I didn't step in". (Which, let's not even talk about what Owen thinks "Stepping in" is.) Because of this, though, he is also incredibly obsessed with Esra and perceives him as a "his" knight. He perceives him as a man who would both protect him and kill him at any given moment. Also because of this though, when he doesn't act like how Owen perceives Cain, Owen is confused. He's projected so much of his own thoughts onto Esra that when he doesn't conform to them he is confused but finds it interesting. Esra is more similar to Figaro, a guy he really hates, but because he is a Knight and reminds him so much of Cain from an appearance, Owen really likes Esra. He's interesting, defies his expectations, and always gives him something interesting to enjoy!

Owen would constantly try to feed Esra his little sugar stars that Wizards make, though Owen's are so sickeningly sweet that even the biggest sweet tooths are usually repulsed by them. I dunno if Esra likes or dislikes sweet things, but regardless, he is trying to feed them to him constantly like a mother bird feeding her children.

Owen isn't someone that likes doing a lot of physical activities because he's lazy and likes to make things easier with magic, but he would spare with Esra often. He uses a blood red rapier when he does actually use a sword and he's very proficient at it, So I imagine they have really intense sparring matches. Owen is competitive so it'd really be like them going to one of them faints (or until Owen dies)

he's never quite felt this .. vulnerable . he's running , darting through the crowd that separated them , breath caught in his lungs because he swears -- he knows -- that his hawk's eyes are not deceiving him . there was no mistaking that tussle of red hair , & the admiring people who encircled esra in hopes of getting his attention .

hand reaches , & for a moment etimi swears he's stopped time accidentally . everything seems to still , except for him . esra turns , their eyes meet , & the rest .. is simply history . etimi's arms wrap around the sorcerer' neck , eyes closing as miraculously , he manages to perfectly land his lips , against his lover's.

he lingers , the kiss tender & loaded with adoration , longing . fingers curl into ruby hair & stay there , as boldly , the hawk dares to deepen the exchange with a timid flick of his tongue . breathless , etimi pulls away , softly catching breath as he breaks the kiss . 〝 don't -- 〞 golden eyed archivist manages , flustered , swallowing thickly , 〝 don't ever leave me behind again . 〞
