Dark: Gargoyle, makes sense, but so does Grim or half a dozen vampiric thangs. Spirit: You should use a Janus Cat, and double your pleasure (Egyptian Mythology for the cats) Earth: SOUNDS BAD ASS. Metal: Minotaur?! Explain the conncection?
Ā For dark I needed something that was a creature of pure darkness, and I really couldn't come up with anything.
For spirit, I really would like to keep the janus humanoid. I thought about making it a two-headed hydra, but I already had a dragon and a seadragon, so another lizard seemed a bit like overkill. I'll keep the cat in mind. I wanted to stay closer to Haitian mythos, but Haitian and Egyptian actually have a lot in common, so it would work.
As for the Minotaur, I was thinking of a metal bull originally. The more I thought about it, the less I wanted an actual bull and the more I thought a Minotaur decked out inĀ impenetrableĀ metal armor would be awesome.
