I actually ended up looking up lots of flower language for picking the flowers I chose, both for the flower crown and my version of Kiran's floral adornments. Alfonse's crown consists of gardenias (which symbolize trust, gentleness, secret love, hope), and forget-me-nots (which symbolize unbreakable bonds, faithfulness, true love, and memories), both of which I thought suited Alfonse and Kiran's close bond pretty well. Kiran's flower pin is a light pink rose (which symbolizes gratitude, grace and joy), and the flower in her hair is a white and pink hibiscus (with white hibiscuses symbolizing femininity, beauty and love, while pink ones symbolize friendship and love of all kinds). Kiran's earrings aren't flowers, but I still went with the plant motif with four-leaf clovers (which of course, are a symbol of luck). Talking about Kiran... I really enjoyed coming up with a Day of Devotion outfit for my version of her! I did some sketches when I was figuring out what her outfit would be like. I may upload those some time in the future. I really, really love how her hair turned out too, compared to the drawings I've uploaded of her before. I do wish that my Kiran here looked more recognizable as being the Summoner, though. Maybe I should've made the outfit more in-line with the Summoner coat, colour-wise? I feel like that would've looked too similar to Alfonse's outfit though. And I do like the blue-green colours on Kiran, so *shrug*. I also used softer brushes than my go-to style, so it's very...idk how to put it, a little more painterly than usual?
