“Perhaps, but sometimes the traditional methods are the best. Classics for a reason.” She told him with a smile, looking at the flowers that she’d given him. “You used to say that when you did something old fashioned and a little cheesy, properly courting me. You’d smile and say something like ‘Old fashioned or timeless?’.” She smiled at the memory. 

 Wanda gave him a few moments to retrieve the memory and parse it, putting her hands on her knees as she did so. “I looked like a drowned rat.” She corrected him. She looked to the sky and the horizon and realised that she felt no desire to learn what was going on beyond it. “I could never feel lonely with you.” She assured him, taking his hand and squeezing it. 

Carter said nothing as she stood still - her arms crossed over her chest as she studied Vision. Or... at least, someone who claimed to be Vision. She just... couldn’t wrap her head around how he was back after so many years - couldn’t understand why he looked so different. She had heard whispers of WestView, but... had never gotten any solid answers. Not from SWORD, and she had no idea where Wanda had gone--

She inhaled slowly, feeling almost guilty for telling him she didn’t trust him, but didn’t waver. “You- you can stay for now,” she said slowly - almost hesitant. “But I need you- you to understand I can’t trust you right- right now. Not when I- I don’t know what’s going on with- with you or anything else. If- if you want me to trust you, then I ask that you just be- be honest with me.” A heavy sigh fell from her lips, and Carter closed her eyes briefly before she opened them - focusing her attention once more onto Vision. She knew she had no way or knowing if anything he were to tell her was the truth or not, but... she needed to start somewhere.

The moment she had seen him, Wanda hadn't known what to think. Seeing him wounded, how different it seemed from before and yet, was still able to make her panic. "You mean you were going to hide it from me?" She asked, taking a step closer to him, her hand raised to hover over the wound. "Vis what happened to you? Who did this?" She continued, wanting to know what monsters could have tried to hurt him. "Please.. I just want to help."

Oh how Wanda's heart sank as Vision spoke those words to her. It broke her to hear that he suffered from nightmares, and though she was proud of him for telling her, she couldn't help but worry that there had been other times that he hadn't. That was a question for a different day however, right now he needed her.

"Come here," she replied, one arm wrapping around him gently before the other hand came up to rest on his cheek. "Do you want to talk about it? About what happened in it? Or would you rather we did something that would get your mind off it? It's entirely up to you sweetheart."
