Dreams If such a thing I am capable of I always told myself should come easy But natural skill is unnatural if not toyed with For it sits waiting in isolated servitude A battalion waiting to be deployed on the battlefield that is this Lover of the dark. And why does it seem like Dreams do not come easy Though I create a triangle in the dirt in my lobes trying to connect the points and find some deeper meaning in my kinetic energy. But there are no lines here which can be connected like there are no lines between the salvo in the sky above of Light devouring light and beneath me of Root devouring root where I am lost Trying to fashion a belief system which I’ll refute the next day. So excruciating ghost hidden within the grey I ask of you Whether you still dream And of what little dots there are Do they tend to impress? Or do you regress to the black and white matter where you kiss my mind with the nostalgia of a forgotten lover? But as you delve deeper into the extraspection that is the stripping of my psyche I realise Oh shelled ghost that I’ve been dreaming of dreaming all along And all I can taste is your excavation into who I am and who I want to be as somehow I’ve found a way to get lost in you.
