MENTARI was born in New Jakarta, and he wasn't always a corrupt OVERSEER, he once joined because he thought it was the best way to help his city. Against the wishes of his parents, against all expectations. But the years corrupted him, he started to believe there was no way out, and he soon became part of the conspiracy his sister attempted to unravel. Now he's knee deep in it, with no way out. He's human and he has a huge dislike of Cyborgs. He thinks it's horrifying what people do to their bodies.

THE FORMER FRIEND -- someone who grew up along side Mentari, their friendship ended the day Mentari decided to join the OVERSEERS. THE RIVAL -- someone who believes Mentari is a goody-two-shoes cop who always does the right thing, and teases him relentlessly. THE FAULT -- Mentari once caught this character red-handed but decided to let them go because their plight seemed to demand it. Now he warns them every single time he sees them to stay out of trouble. THE CONTACT -- a member of the Golden Tears who Mentari answers to. Their relationship appear somewhat all business, but they've simply perfected the langauge of caring for each other while sounding like they don't. THE TWIST -- this person is also an informant of sorts, but Mentari doesn't know. They spy on each other, unaware that they are actually on the same side.

I CAN DO WHAT YOU CAN DO -- a mentor / mentee plot where Mentari starts mentoring someone. Can become like a parent/child dynamic, or a lovers dynamic. But I want it to hurt once this other person figures out that Mentari is crooked. BLACKMAIL -- a plot where someone is blackmailing Mentari after finding out about what he does. Can start with the actual finding out. TWO SIDES OF THE SAME COIN -- Mentari having a cat and mouse game with someone else, but the game keeps changing, and it's never clear who is the cat and who is the mouse. THERE IS PAIN INVOLVED -- I want Mentari HURT physically, and then attempt to find the person responsible for hurting him. Perhaps they fight every other week, and it's always PAINFUL. YOU'RE NOT AS STRONG AS YOU THINK YOU ARE -- Mentari always has his walls up, I'd like them to be brought down! Maybe a mutual wall down-bringing, two hurt people helping each other soften the hurt.

Mentari was born in the Mawar District, though often visited the Akumu Slums growing up. He has a much younger sister, and two hard-working parents, but he saw first hand that it didn't matter much in a city where difference between social classes are so strongly present. When he was old enough to go off to college, he surprised everyone around him by joining the OVERSEERS. He hoped to change them from within, to make the city better, fight the inequality, be a voice of reason and stand up for his own people. The job took him down however, and now, more than twenty years after he started, he has become that which he was trying to fight: corruption. He now runs jobs for X ACADEMY and the GOLDEN TEARS, supplying them intell and deleting evidence.
