wow look at you two (one?) thinking you're better than everyone else just because you've thrown out your CD player to buy vinyls and be cool — well, you're not, you're cringe thinking vinyls are better somehow, they break easily and take up the whole fucking shelf, like wine bottles which people are exactly as up in their ass about. the only real way to keep music nowadays is as recorded memos in a group chat with people you'll never know the real name of, that's how niche the music is — the amount of music I store on flash drives you get at underground concerts and can never be sure won't fuck up your hard drive is insane, and you with your damn fucking wine-tasting vinyl listens are so pretentious and cringe fuck jesus
Mate.
You came to a vinyl shop blog to complain about vinyl. That's like going into Greggs and shouting about gluten. How did you think this was gonna go?
Calling vinyl “wine tasting vinyl listens” is insane. I have never once sniffed a record and said “ah yes, 1978, with hints of emotional damage.”
Do I sniff records? Well, that's between me and my collection
You’re allowed to like flash drives. We are allowed to like objects that don’t feel like they were designed by AI.
Believe it or not, I do have music on my phone. I do own a cd player. I also listen to music on Spotify and SoundCloud... but I like the *sound* of vinyl.
genuinely—listen to whatever you want. But if you’re coming into a vinyl shop blog expecting us to declare war on physical media… you’re going to have a bad fucking time.
Seriously, come here. I would love to have this debate in person :D ~J
