They hadn’t quite talked about it much. Other than the initial proposal, and some curt nods to ‘eventually’, any plans of an actual wedding hadn’t been made.
With some help of their friends, and one who happened to be ordained, the idea of a ceremony became incredibly possible, and before Arin knew it, he was watching some of his closest friends set up backyard tables. Brian had been paired with Arin, and Barry with Dan, with the stipulation neither were to see one another until ‘it was time.’
Arin was still in a partial state of disbelief. It wasn’t anything huge by any means- their closest friends, and few family, were there. Holly and Suzy had gotten together a semi-decent cake, which Arin wasn’t allowed to see yet. Brian had let him in the backyard, but was fussing with him to get dressed.
Arin swept his hand through his bangs, and looked over toward the older man, though still watching Ross and Holly set up something out of the corner of his eye.
“This is crazy, man,” he laughed, nervously. “Just a few weeks ago we were going about this, and... Now it’s really happening.”
Barry, who was accompanying Dan inside the house- separating the couple as far as their property would allow them- nudged Dan.
“C’mon, bud. You gonna be ready soon?” He asked, leaning on the wall outside of the bedroom, as to give the other space.
