☃ What they wear around the house
Now, canonically Rydia has been seen wearing the same clothes every time and I think that during the day she tends to wear her battle gear, like being ready to deal with watever because... she had probably been raised to be on guard everytime. Before Cuore entered her life, thought, Rydia took way more freedom in her choice of clothings: when misthians weren’t around for duties or company or when she could relax it wasn’t unusual for the woman just to lock her door and keep on only the basic protective items on enjoying what you could consider an almost nudist life. Behind locked doors and alone, you pervs!
Since the kid’s adoption... eh, she adapted, for Cuore’s sake, and now she spends most of her time in her battle gear. (if you can call that her skimpy clothes)
Where she enjoys herself, thought, is her pajamas collection. Most of her clothes come from Shiva’s collection... and there’s a reason: her tastes in clothins are as bad as her tastes in naming: Rydia’s got some sexy pajamas from Troia, Baron, the Dwarven Castle, Mithryl, Fabul (It’s Sheila’s gift, Rydia doesn’t wear it because it barely feels pratical or comfortable) even EBLAN (But she’s avoiing that one as well).
It’s not even a matter of clothes being cool or awesome or colorful... it’s just she likes to try them in er privacy and enjoy the extravagant clothing options offered by different countries where no one (but cuore, now) can judge her.
It really depends on one thing: is she sleeping alone or not? If she’s alone (and it means there’s no danger because she’s alone... basically only when she’s in her home in mist) then there are lots of rituals even before sleeping: she checks the bed to make sure the blankets are all in order, she places a bag of warm water where her feet are going to be, she takes a good mushrooms tea and enjoys a bit of literature before sleeping. Rydia also needs to fluff her pillow a couple of times, find the perfect position (changes every night) and hum to herself for a bit before falling asleep.
During her time in the Feymarch or around the first journey this had to be repeated at least three or four times every night because she had nightmares, fortunately enough she got to sleep in other monsters’s nest back then.
If she’s not alone things are way easier: -> find a place to sleep in ->Cling to the warmest person (usually the ones not wearing heavy armors) -> Snore clinging on them like a cat.
Night. It’s quiet, dark and calm, during new moons she feels closer to her homeland than any other moment, fantazising about stars and pretending they’re magma drops slowly sripping throught the barrier and offering her land below the pale imitation of the world above’s starry sky.
After all her home and heart still belong to the world of eidolons, who cares if their ‘sky’ was nothing but a pale imitation?
